This afternoon our family went to the Whitecaps game. We purchased tickets for the game against the Kane County Cougars, a team near my hometown. It was "Kids Day" so each child received a hot dog, chips, and soft drink for FREE! Our seats were near the visiting team's dugout along the third baseline. When we left our home the sun was shining and we had our sunscreen in tow. Instead we needed raincoats and umbrellas. Amazing how the weather along the lake shore is that much different inland! I was secretly hoping that the 2:00 start time would work for our "no nappers", but by the end of the first inning the girls were already getting restless. We did manage to stay until the end of the 7th inning and had a good time at the ball park!
