Tonight I took Leah to a family event at our school. Twice a year families in the community are invited to attend an evening to celebrate reading. Students get the chance to play an organized game, make a craft, listen to a story, and get a free book and snack. The Scholastic Book Fair is also at our school during this time. The theme tonight was a global theme so Leah played different games from other countries, learned how to speak French, and attempted to eat foods from other cultures. She had a good time and we came home with some great books!
