Now that the Leah and Elizabeth are both old enough to attend school making gifts for their teachers was a big deal. They love rainbows and chocolate so the gift we came up was perfect! After choosing glass containers, ribbon, stickers and M & M's at the store, the girls helped me sort the candy by color. Then we filled each jar to create the different layers. Next, they each decorated the gift tags and then I attached them with the rainbow ribbon around the top. Inside the jar for Leah's teacher we also put a gift card for Barnes & Noble and Elizabeth contributed to a class gift for her teacher. The girls think that their teachers will enjoy the yummy treats inside while I hope they get to use the jars for future estimation activities or some sort of storage!
